Advices

Gear & clothes:

You should keep your backpack as light as you  can, using lightweight but water/windproof clothes. We recommend you to bring one or two changes of clothes.
Weather conditions are unpredictable so you should be prepared to deal with rain, cold or heat.

How to dress

Layering your clothes is an essential  way to ensure your comfort in the mountains- Each layer has its own function.

-First Layer (next – to – skin - layer): It’s really important to use fabrics that transport perspiration away from your skin so you don’t feel wet, you stay dry.

- Second Layer: This layer helps keeping the heat. You can use  natural fibers or the classic fleece. The fleece dries faster than the others. It’s always necessary to bring 2 fleeces; one lightweight & one mid/expeditionweight.

- Third Layer: This layer  blocks rain, snow & wind.  It might hold  the heat in your body  & also allow water vapor to escape. Third layer has to be water/windproof-

Boots: We recommend you to wear good & comfortable shoes- It’s not a good idea to bring new boots.

Difficulty:

Medium level. This ascent  is physically demanding- Good phisycal shape is needed. Remember you will carry heavy backpacks during more than 6 hour a day.

It’s recommendable to have previous mountain experience.
